Our speaker – Chris Firbank

Chris has been member of Gordon Uniting Church – now combined in to Gordon-Pymble Uniting Church – for many years. He has taken up beekeeping of fairly recent times and many have given high praise to the quality of the honey produced in the hives he has in his home grounds in Gordon. His daughters in Gulgong and Canberra have also taken up beekeeping.

Chris is a member of the North Shore Beekeepers Association and there are a surprising number of Association members around our nearby suburbs.

Chris will look at the life of bees, backyard beekeeping and the issue of declining bee populations including how it may affect all of us.
